Prudential's eBusiness Development Group (eDG) is a center of excellence
whose mission is to Internet enable Prudential's lines of business to
allow them to better serve their clients, producers and prospects and
drive incremental business value out of those relationships. Within eDG,
the Annuity eMarketing team is responsible for all aspects of Prudential
Annuities web sites.
In addition to the development and maintenance of the various web sites,
a key component of the services Annuity eMarketing provides is the
marketing of the various site's capabilities. The goal is to make sure
Prudential Annuities' most important clients, financial professionals,
understand all of the capabilities they have access to and how to use
those capabilities to their fullest advantage in growing and servicing
their business. Achieving that goal is a key component to Prudential
Annuities' multi-billion dollar sales goals as one of the leading
providers of advisor sold variable annuities. Accordingly, Prudential
Annuities is committed to growing its web capabilities marketing team.
The new Web Capabilities Marketing Director, often referred to as the
eWholesaler, will have direct responsibility for helping to achieve and
exceed those goals.
The new eWholesaler will join the existing eWholesaling team to carry
the message about Prudential Annuities' web capabilities directly to
financial professionals through office visits, seminars, roadshows, CE
classes and other events throughout the western United States. The
eWholesaler will also be responsible for identifying and documenting the
web technology needs of the financial professionals in his territory and
devising strategies to help address those needs.
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Driving usage of and increasing satisfaction with Prudential Annuities
web sites in a quantitaive and measuarble way
- Influencing sales by helping Financial Professionals understand how
Prudential Annuities web capabilities add value for them and their
clients
- Working closely and in tight partnership with the product wholesaling
force to to establish and strengthen relationships with financial
professionals
- Developing, maintaining and executing marketing plans centered around
the features and capabilities of Prudential's annuity web sites
- Working with Annuity Marketing's Channel Marketing Managers to
understand the needs of their respective channels and ensure their
channels are familiar with the capabilities of the various annuity web
sites
- Creating and delivering presentations on web capabilities at sales
meetings, roadshows and other events
- Developing and executing strategies to gather quantitative and
qualitative feedback from web users and assisting in the prioritization
of future enhancements and initiatives
- 80% to 85% travel in throughout the south eastern United States
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High energy and a passion for the web and technology
- Exceptional presentation skills, including 1 - 3 years presenting to
varios types and sizes of audiences
- Outstanding communications and relationship-building skills
- Effective in communicating to all audiences, from one-on-one meetings
to events attended by hundreds; from office assitants to senior vice
presidents
- 3 - 5 years experience in the financial services industry, preferably
annuities
- Solid understanding of a broad array of web technologies
- Excellent organizational capabilities
- Ability to function in a highly regulated, compliance conscious
environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- 4 year degree in marketing or communications
- Any canddiate applying for this positon should either have
their Series 6 or be willing to take the exam to obtain the Series 6
licenses.
